Digital health unicorn Truepill to go through fourth round of layoffs in 2022 TechCrunch

Truepill, a platform that helps other companies provide diagnostics, telemedicine services and prescriptions, has undergone layoffs for the fourth time this year.
The layoffs affected approximately 65% of existing staff across engineering, HR, design, IT and finance teams, sources said. The layoffs come about two months after the last round, which affected about a third of the company, or 175 of his people.
One employee, who spoke to TechCrunch on condition of anonymity, said he was told in a one-on-one call with management that “due to economic factors, my position is no longer sustainable.” The retirement was mentioned, but HR has not yet communicated the details to the employee.

Truepill is reportedly Cerebral’s preferred pharmacy partner and is under federal investigation amid allegations that employees feel pressured to prescribe drugs to customers.
In June, Viswanathan confirmed it laid off another 15% of its staff, affecting 150 people.
