The Darien Community Association (DCA) is hosting a Sustainable Designer Fashion Show and Sale on Thursday, September 15th!
To highlight the DCA Thrift Shop’s role as a provider of eco-friendly fashion and resale, the DCA will host a sustainable fashion show featuring designer fashions for sale in the shop. The show features local models showcasing outfits styled with pieces from leading designers such as Gucci, Celine, Jil Sander, Valentino and Prada, as well as contemporary brands such as Rag & Bone, Mother and Helmut Lang, among many others. will appear.
The event will be held at the Darien Community Association at 274 Middlesex Road. All participants will receive a door prize of a Jimmy Choo handbag. Another raffle featuring other designer bags will also be part of the event, and raffle tickets will be available for purchase starting August 30 at his DCA thrift store (966 Boston Post Road, Darien) and at the show. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20.
“Fashion shows provide a great opportunity to showcase the high-quality clothing and accessories that we sell in our shop. , was the right time to put the Thrift Shop in the spotlight,” said Deb Danil, Thrift Shop Manager.
Donation update:
DCA thrift stores will not be accepting fall or winter clothing donations until September. Thank you for the overwhelming number of donations from the community and your patience while our volunteers worked to organize and organize them.
