In a poll conducted from November 10 to 14, 91.7% of doctors said that pharmaceutical companies’ digital marketing activities had a positive impact on prescriptions.
Of those who answered yes, 42.8% said digital marketing helped them obtain information about new drugs, and 30.3% said it helped them obtain additional information about existing drugs they prescribed. The remaining 21.7% said it helped them find topics and information relevant to their field of expertise, while the remaining 5.2% said otherwise.
The most respondents (15.7%) named Daewoong as the best digital marketer among domestic pharmaceutical companies, followed by Hanmi Pharm (14.4%), Viatris (8.65%), JW Pharmaceutical (7.8%), Boryung Corp. ( 7.1%) followed. .
When it comes to digital marketing methods, 41.5% of physicians get their information through online conferences and 26.8% through doctor-specific portals.
Disappointments with doctor-only portals, respondents cited a lack of scholarly content in areas of interest, outdated information focused on specific drugs that were not updated, and a lack of community dynamism. Areas they wanted to strengthen included up-to-date lecture review services and summaries, content on various treatments and diseases, and up-to-date guidelines and precautions for drug use.
