6-year-old and father confirmed dead following SWAT situation in Mount Healthye

MT. Healthye, Ohio (WXIX) – Two people died Sunday afternoon after a SWAT team was dispatched to an apartment complex, Mount Healthye his chief Vincent Demasi confirmed.
The two who died were a 6-year-old daughter and a father in his 40s.
Demasi explained that the Mount Helshey police were called when officers heard gunshots being fired from inside the apartment during a custody battle at the Lake of the Woods apartment.
According to Demasi, a SWAT team was dispatched to the location and attempted to communicate with the people inside the apartment, treating it as a hostage situation.
Multiple officers were at the scene, including Mount Helshey Police, North College Hill Police, and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, FOX19 confirmed.
The Mount Healthye Police Department is investigating.
