Solano Education Office Schedules Early Learning Career and Education EXPO

FAIRFIELD — The Solano County Department of Education will host an Early Learning Careers and Education Expo on Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at its corporate headquarters at 5100 Business Center Drive.
This is both a recruitment event and a resource fair for career and educational opportunities in the areas of early learning and care. Educators, college students, home-based and center-based preschool and child care providers, and anyone else interested in learning more about opportunities in their careers are encouraged to attend.
Early Learning employers, including Solano County school districts and charters, community colleges, universities, and community-based organizations, stand by to share information about career and educational opportunities within their organizations.
“Early childhood education is critical to building a strong foundation for lifelong learning, cognitive and social development,” Solano County Superintendent of Education Lisette Estrella-Henderson said in a press release. “Teaching the youngest learners is an important and rewarding job.”
Lisa Ekhoff said, “With Universal Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten expanding and the need for early learning teachers increasing, this event provides an opportunity to attract new professionals to Solano’s early learning workforce. and support existing staff in exploring education and career advancement paths.” Senior Director of Early Learning said in the release:
