Baker University is proud to announce that LMH Health and OrthoKansas have been named Official Health Care Providers for its student-athletes. For over 45 years, LMH Health and OrthoKansas have partnered on the field with NCAA Division I, NAIA, semi-pro and high school athletes.

Employing experts in sports medicine and orthopedic care, OrthoKansas provides innovative treatments and treatments for athletes of all ages and abilities, helping student-athletes maximize lifelong health and pre-injury performance. can be safely recovered.

OrthoKansas in nearby Lawrence is a regional destination for progressive, multidisciplinary orthopedic and sports medicine care. Two of their health care providers serve Baker University. Emily Heronemus, DO, is a primary care sports medicine physician who performs procedures such as injections and other minimally and non-invasive procedures. “Since I started working for OrthoKansas, Baker’s training room and clinic have taken care of athletes,” says Dr. Heronemus. “This strengthens our partnership and ensures medical coverage and support for our student-athletes. We are excited to see it continue to grow and strengthen.”

Stephen Pro, M.D., practices orthopedic sports medicine and performs surgery when appropriate.

“OrthoKansas has a long history of providing care to Baker student organizations and athletes. It will help us ensure that we have the resources we need to deliver,” said Dr. Puro.

Student-athletes with imaging needs can take advantage of LMH Health’s Advanced Imaging Center. The team includes her two fellowship-trained musculoskeletal diagnostic radiologists who specialize in sports medicine. A specialized orthopedic imaging unit with advanced 3D viewing capabilities enables same-day results and more accurate treatment planning.
