Shreveport, Louisiana – There was much to celebrate on Saturday at the LSU Health Shreveport School of Allied Health Professions.
Some students earned their bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Saturday’s graduation ceremony held at the Shreveport Convention Center.
“It’s been really interesting to see how healthcare is constantly changing, and even how education is changing, and how these changes are preparing us to care for patients in the future. “There aren’t many health care professionals in my family. We don’t have many African American or black providers.” I hope it opens those doors for others like me, in his field, and taking care of people.”
Students and faculty discussed the impact alumni have on the medical community and the challenges students have had to overcome over the past few years.
Sharon Dunn, Dean of Allied Health Professionals at LSU Shreveport, said: “But they all stayed on time, graduated on time, and are ready to take a flexible, creative, and thoughtful approach. I couldn’t be more proud.”
