Forman, Buff finish tour in convincing fashion

Barcelona, Spain — Frida foremanSunday night’s shootout was as hot as the Colorado women’s basketball team experienced in Spain.
The Buffs finished the trip with a 3-0 record, with one day left in Spain before returning home on Tuesday. Colorado have shown signs of improvement throughout the tour and have grown as a team over the past week and a half.
“I think we played pretty well tonight in the spurt,” said the head coach. JR Pain Added after winning. “You could see all the new stuff on the floor, but I thought we played well tonight.There were definitely some different line-ups and different looks that we could start tinkering with. I’m excited about how we’ve progressed.”
The Buffs started the night with a 10-0 run, Jada Wynn to start.fellow freshmen Brianna McLeod Scoring five points in the quarter, Buff was a perfect 7-7 from the free-throw line for a 19-4 lead.
Foreman, who was scoreless in the first quarter, lit up with four 3s in the second quarter. She scored a total of 12 of her 19 points for the team in her second frame, leading the Buffs to her 38–17 halftime lead.
Barcelona got within 10 in the third quarter, but Forman continued to hit form deep with three more triples in the quarter to take a 22-point lead at the end of the third quarter.
Forman extended his fourth quarter lead to 29, 65-36 and scored his 10th 3 of the game within the first four minutes of the period.
“Frida hit a really good shot tonight,” Payne continued. “And that’s not all. She’s very smart, knowledgeable, confident and communicative. She does everything a veteran needs to do. Her teammates celebrate her like that.” It was really fun to watch.”
Payne added that the experience spent together on this trip has brought the team closer together in a way that normal practices and team activities never do.
“It was incredible [this trip]Everything about it was so great. From culture, food, excursions and games. I truly feel that we have grown and bonded more as a group than ever before at home, both on and off the court. It was an incredible tour. ”
Once the buffs are back, classes will be thrown into the mix starting August 22nd, returning to normal activity.
