ALCF Offers 8-Week Introduction to AI-Driven Science on Supercomputers – Student Training Series – High Performance Computing News Analysis

August 29, 2022 — The Argonne Leadership Computing Facility will host a free eight-week virtual training series for undergraduates and graduates to explore the use of AI for research using world-class supercomputers. Teach the basics to promote. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from September 20th to November 8th, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Central Time.
Registration deadline is September 16, 2022. Participation in the series is free, but registration is required. The participant will receive a link to his webinar online after registration.
The Thd ALCF training series is intended for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in US universities. Participants are expected to have basic experience with Python. No supercomputing or AI knowledge required.
This training series provides hands-on experience with the supercomputing resources of the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF), providing attendees with a unique learning experience to step into the emerging realm of AI for Science.
Week 1: Introducing AI Training and Machine Learning on ThetaGPU Supercomputers
Week 2: Neural Networks in Python
Week 3: Neural Networks in TensorFlow.
Week 4: Modern Classification Network
Week 5: Processing data during AI training
Week 6: Supercomputers and Parallel AI Training
Week 7: Running large-scale training on a supercomputer
Week 8: Other AI Learning Methods
Participants who complete all hands-on course materials will receive a certificate of completion and a digital badge.
