Bittrex, Merkle Science and Bitgo Join Crypto Market Integrity Coalition

Following the introduction of the Crypto Market Integrity Coalition (CMIC) last February with 17 member companies, the organization has added eight new members. New coalition recruits include Bittrex, Merkle Science, Crystal Blockchain and Bitgo.
To Improve Self-Regulation, Eight Crypto Market Firms Join Crypto Market Integrity Coalition
Seven months ago, 17 cryptocurrency companies announced the formation of the Crypto Market Integrity Coalition (CMIC), a group aimed at strengthening a well-regulated cryptocurrency industry. Original CMIC members included Circle, Coinbase, Anchorage Digital, Huobi Tech, Liberty City Ventures, and Chamber of Digital Commerce.
“Through the pledge, the coalition seeks to send a clear message at this critical moment in the evolution of digital assets. The crypto industry has made significant strides to improve market integrity over the past few years.” CMIC’s announcement said on February 7, 2022.
On Thursday, the CMIC detailed eight new members joining the coalition. Her newly added CMIC members include Bittrex, VAF Compliance, Merkle Science, Tokenomy, Crystal Blockchain, Finclusive, Oasis Pro Markets, and Bitgo. The Chief Compliance Officers (CCOs) of Bitgo and Bittrex spoke about their participation in the CMIC initiative.
Bittrex’s chief compliance officer, Michael Carter, said the cryptocurrency exchange is looking forward to “collaborating with members of the coalition to conduct educational activities and share insights that contribute to the continued evolution of the industry.” He said he was. Bitgo’s chief compliance officer, Jeff Horowitz, said Bitgo welcomes discussions with regulators and policymakers.
“Institutional investors are increasingly willing to participate actively in the growing digital asset economy, and regulatory clarity can help address concerns stemming from uncertainty,” said Horowitz. said at the CMIC announcement on Thursday. “We continue to welcome discussions with policymakers on how to foster innovation while protecting investors and businesses.”
