Walla Walla, Washington — Walla Walla Community College invites the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new science building on campus on October 4 from 3:30-5:30 pm. The event begins with a short presentation before the actual ribbon cutting at 4:00. Afternoon Guests can tour the new area and enjoy refreshments.

The $11.8 million project was approved in 2016 and funded in 2019, according to a WWCC press release. Added 16,000 square feet to the south side of the Main Building or D Wing. The university said it used the addition to update the science space into his one dedicated space with “modern classrooms” and modern equipment.

Construction started in September 2021. Contractors and employees are now putting finishing touches on the building and expect it to be ready for classes this winter term.
