Tulip Pride and Joy Collection
The Tulip Pride and Joy Collection is a well balanced variety of Darwin Hybrid tulips, chosen for their huge flowers, strong structure and pleasing spring colour. The mixture is a mix of warm and cool tones, pink, red, gentle violet, apricot and blush, coordinated to produce a seamless, uplifting display that seems energetic without being hectic.
Darwin Hybrid tulips have huge, well-formed blossoms on tall, sturdy stalks. They grow to the same height and create a cohesive planting that appears intentional and sophisticated. They are quite robust and can endure the normal spring weather, wind and short term fluctuations of temperature making them one of the most trustworthy tulip groups for open garden situations.
This assortment blooms in early to mid-spring and wonderfully bridges the seasonal change. The profuse blooms look good in borders, cottage style gardens, contemporary schemes and in big drifts. All the cultivars in this mix have comparable growing habits and bloom time. The result is cohesive without difficult planning and professionally composed.
Plant the bulbs in autumn in well-drained soil in full sun or moderate partial shade. As the temperature rises, sturdy stems appear, followed by bold, bright flowers that make great cut flowers. The vase’s tall branches and generous petals hold nicely in shape, bringing the garden within.
Tulip Pride and Joy Collection is perfect for gardeners looking for dependable spring structure, big flowers and a palette that is classic and yet fresh.

Oxalis Autumn Pink
As the rest of the garden begins to wind down, Oxalis ‘Autumn Pink’ comes in with a last burst of delicate pink appeal. Also known as Cape Shamrock, this lovely cultivar produces dainty trumpet-shaped blooms in a light pink colour, tinged with raspberry-pink on the outer petals. The blossoms are tight but characterful, and paired with fresh green, clover-like leaves. They open in the sun and then close up again each evening into exquisite twisted candy forms.
The UK’s Autumn Pink Sorrel is normally in flower from late summer to early winter, with a good display of colour from August to November. Ideal for containers, gravel gardens, rockeries or alpine beds, particularly in moderate or coastal situations. Give it a sunny spot in protected ground with well-drained soil and you will be rewarded with a lively show when much of the garden is settling down.
This semi-hardy perennial will reliably return year after year under the correct conditions, eventually growing into a tidy cluster that multiplies gently over the years. Low maintenance, visually lovely, flowering when you least expect it, Autumn Pink is a truly satisfying option for late season beauty.
But the Autumn Pink Sorrel is not totally robust against harsh frost. As a native of South Africa it likes milder winters and can be destroyed by prolonged freezing especially in wet soil.

Allium Round and Purple
Allium ‘Round and Purple’ is a sure-fire choice to provide bold colour and unique structure to the late spring garden. Each upright stalk bears a perfectly spherical flower head of hundreds of tiny, rich purple florets. The bold spheres rise above the foliage to give a sharp, architectural impression that works just as well in formal borders as it does in more natural planting schemes.
This allium is good with tulips, attractive grasses and early summer perennials, and is equally effective planted alone or in groups. It is easy to grow and requires very little maintenance and returns year after year reliably. The flowers are long lasting in the garden and as cut stems and are very attractive to bees and butterflies.
