They are Ben and Pete, co-founders and the DutchGrown faces. They wanted to tell you a little bit about them and describe their tale. This is the narrative of a family dynasty spanning over 150 years. It’s one that crosses 4 generations, 3 centuries, 2 continents, and the occasional brotherly dispute. It is a tale that has got them to where they are today: one of the oldest and most recognised flower bulb exporters in the Netherlands.

Fast forward 4 generations and now Pete and Ben both live in Europe, but not in the same country. Pete had spent the last 15 years in the USA growing the web part of the business and Ben had been honing his substantial skills in the Netherlands.

They play to their strengths. Ben is the floral bulb specialist & the ‘people person’. He has great relationships with all the producers in the Netherlands, he is great at networking and always happy to help any customer with any questions.

Pete is their techy guy, who has been building websites for over 20 years and is the engine that keeps DutchGrown working smoothly. He’s a bit of a computer nerd but surprisingly friendly and is occasionally permitted out of his basement to meet clients. In reality he and Ben spend a lot of time travelling to the USA, Europe and the UK for flower bulb shows and expos and always enjoy meeting and getting to know their customers, creating long-lasting connections and friendships.
