New Art Education Center Schedules Classes in Schuylkill Haven

On August 30th, Schuylkill Haven’s Walk In Art Center unveiled its brand new Art Education Center, rolling out a full schedule of classes for adults and children starting the week of September 18th.
WIAC Education Coordinator Heather Butler said:
“Those who have been waiting for the beginners class are lucky,” said Butler. ”
Butler explained that there are even beginner knitting classes for those who want to try it out.
In addition to these core classes, there is a fun teen class called ‘Strange Things and Monsters’ with a theme matching the popular Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ and an overnight Paint and Ship with various seasonal themes I have several classes.
In addition to pottery classes for beginners, those with some experience are encouraged to attend the Clay Open Studio at the Art Ed Center on Monday and Thursday evenings. For a small monthly fee, you can attend as many Open Studio Nights as you like each month. Those interested in weaving, knitting, and other textile arts can also take advantage of Textile Arts Open Studio Days, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm.
WIAC Executive Director Jacquie Engel said: “It is well equipped and different from other centers in the area.
