49ers injury update: health trends in the right direction

The 49ers are grappling with some injury issues at right tackle, but are showing health trends at several other positions. In a conference call with media on Sunday, head coach Kyle Shanahan said the team hopes to get a number of injured players back into action in the final week of the preseason.
Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (hamstring), defensive lineman Aric Armstead (knee), tight end Charlie Warner (core muscle surgery), offensive lineman Jayron Moore (lower leg), linebacker Curtis Robinson (groin), defensive Practice to start the back donte johnson (ribs) week.
CB Ambry Thomas could return after missing Saturday’s preseason game with a knee injury.
Shanahan said CB Charvarius Ward (hamstring) won’t be back for the preseason finale, but should be back next week.
RT Mike McGrinchy (knee), free safety Jimmy Ward (hamstring) and running back Elijah Mitchell (hamstring) will all remain.
